Diane Ohanesian

Diane Ohanesian is the author of more than twenty-five books for young children. Her most recent sale, Hugga Bugga Love, will be published by Little Bee Books in fall 2017. Other titles include What We’ll Do, Just Me and You!, Casey’s Quilt, and This is How I Love You published by Frecklebox; Bedtime Sing-to-Me, a book/CD combination published by Cartwheel Press and illustrated by Nadine Bernard Westcott; The ABC’s of Thanks and Please, a Scholastic Book Club Original illustrated by Margaret Chamberlain, and Santa’s Christmas Charm published by Ice Water Press and illustrated by Lee Krutop.

Diane has written numerous books for early childhood educators and parents, including The Big Book of Pre-K Learning Centers (Scholastic Teaching Resources), Macaroni Math (McGraw-Hill) and Splish, Splash, Fun in the Tub (McGraw-Hill). Diane is also the former editor-in-chief of Scholastic’s early childhood magazine, Early Childhood Today, as well as former editor-at-large for all of the company’s early childhood divisions.

Her previous experience also includes editor of Weekly Reader’s Preschool Periodical as well as contributing writer and curriculum developer for many of the nation’s leading early childhood publishers, including Sesame Workshop, Highlights for Children, Reader’s Digest Young Families, and Macmillan-McGraw Hill. She holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College.
