Juana Martinez-Neal
Juana Martinez-Neal first started illustrating for children professionally as a teenager in Lima, Peru. After studying art at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, she decided to take a break and visit Los Angeles. She has lived in the United States ever since. Though she’s currently illustrated five American picture books and three middle-grades, she is anxious to make her trade book debut. In 2011, Juana was awarded an SCBWI Illustrator Mentorship. Her current client list includes Capstone Publishers, Nestle Latino, EEC International, McGraw-Hill, and Iguana Magazine. Juana lives with her family in Scottsdale, Arizona.
