Kara Kramer
Kara Kramer is an illustrator, artist, and sometimes scribbler of words. She really doesn’t know what to call herself—but she does know that she is happiest when her fingers are moving through color-splashed, pencil-marked paper. She has a MFA from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA in illustration. Kara is an active member of SCBWI, where she received the SCBWI Los Angeles Portfolio Honor Award in 2014 and was the SCBWI New Jersey Unpublished Art Winner in 2015. Before she found herself falling in love with picture books, she made illustrations for magazines. Kara lives, plays, and creates in Brooklyn with her husband, two boys, and her giant dog, Rufus.
